HAM RADIO ANTENNAS

Simple Ham Radio Antennas

Yagi Antenna or a Cubical Quad

Why This website?

As an avid builder of Antennas , I have built and used over 70 in the real world, always looking for more signal.
My favorite amateur radio antenna for the HF bands 10- 20 meters is the Cubical Quad antenna.
I have built dozens of them, and continue to model, test and research more variations of them. as of 2019.
Other antennas I like are loops for for 40/80 meters. This site will show you what many of these antennas are and how to quickly build simple wire antennas all the way up to easy and quick build yagi and cubical quad antennas.

Personally I look for the rare DX where I can find it, and work SSB exclusively.
I also do like to challenge myself occasionally on 10 meters with the help of good friend, working distant Groundwave only contacts
I have made quite a few contacts over the years over 300 Plus miles. Not Skip or Dx just Groundwave.Today? Impossible you say, well read on.

I have been an ham radio operator for over 25 years. Hopefully I can help you build your amateur radio antennas.
I am not going to bore you with pages and pages of Antenna theory or jargon, which are meaningless to both you and me.
But I will try to get to the heart of the matter by telling you what you need to know when you build a ham radio antenna.

I have built Cubical Quad antennas, Yagi antennas, Dipole Antennas, Wire antennas, VHF, UHF, vertical antennas, tri bander Yagi Antenna, Steppir, Hygain, Mosley, Cushcraft, MFJ, you name it.

I do have a beautiful model wife who supports my hobby, and even makes some of the amateur radio hamfests around the country.
Other hobbies include, Drag Racing, Collecting records, Flying RC planes, I have owned several hobby stores and online hobby businesses.
